Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know what's going on. I've been looking at some other physics engines, like
APE, in order to help me figure out how to do the collisions for my own engines. I also considered just using an existing engine, but I found that none of the existing ones have all the features I want. So, it's still up to me.
I was working on a prototype with the ragdoll and a ball that will collide with the ragdoll's limbs, but that has proved difficult and I've decided to start simpler. I'm going to start with just circle collisions, by adding the ability to create colliding circles in the editor from
Engine Prototype 04.
I'll let you know how that goes. Hopefully it will be easier.
