Okay Im going to teach you how to make a basic Punch.

http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/8265/painttutorialyc5.png
Frame Number

Onion Skin
Notice how i start my movement Slowly With The First 2 - 3 Frames This is how you get an Eased Punch
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9092/frame14mt4.png
I started Slow and then on teh 3rd frame i started to get quicker. Notice?
That applys this Motion to The animation.

__________________________________________________ ____________
Okay Moving on. Towards the End of the punch you are going to need to double frame the actual hit. This Makes it so the viewers can actually see the punch and the impact. otherwise it jsut looks like the stick is throwing his arms around like a ****ing clown. Frame 8-9 Should have the extended arm double framed. I have Made frame 10 int he same pose too becuase i have only made one single punch. i have had made a combo i would have made teh extended arm mvoe down a little. To prepare for the next punch.
http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/7995/painttutorialdoubleframjh4.png
Notice that on frame 8 the ground actually Moves down. This is to increase impact. The ground moves down and the stick figure moves down aswell.
Frame 9 is moves up again.
Notic also how on Frame 8-9-10 I am slowing My movements down. This applies Easing again. Slowing down the movement after a significant hit.
Remember easing is much like this
Key:
| Frame
- Movement
|-|--|---|------|------|----|--|-|-|
Hope this tutorial helped you.

Not very helping.
The back needed to be bended and when he raises his arms he looks he stops.
Also the punch was there for like 10 frames.

great tutorial power fuse0. very detailed and it helped me alot as im still learning practicing basic movements.
Not very helping.

the back does bend its just hard to notice (above middle of spine). and if you actually read the tut he says:

Since when did you bend you back when punching.
My style is realistic.
Not cartoony. This is a really good punch. And anyway, his back does lunge forwards, like Necrode said. It is un noticable, but it stops the animation for looking stiff. But in like you hardly do a mechie wave with your back while punching. Plus with combos you can make it look not so stiff.
uppercuts & Kicks ect
Thanks for hte comments guys.
Sweet, that really helped me out! all i could do is chop, and now its a punch, thanks

Since when did you bend you back when punching.
I just did a punch. My back bent.
My style is realistic.
Not cartoony.
Not especially, actually.
This is a really good punch.
It could be better.
And anyway, his back does lunge forwards, like Necrode said. It is un noticable, but it stops the animation for looking stiff.
Only a little bit, though.
But in like you hardly do a mechie wave with your back while punching.
Obviously, whatever the hell a mechie wave is. But, you hardly stand upright.

Thanks, it helped. My punches were basically wacky slaps earlier. Effective yes, but slaps shouldn't do the damage they do in my animations.

Also what is c and c?
C&C, also known as cc, is an abbreviation for "constructive criticism". It means telling you what's wrong with your animation so that it can be fixed.
