Ever had those files that you don't want parents or other family member seeing? Well Encryption is the easiest way to do this.

Personally my favourite encrypter is File Waster.
LINK : http://www.jcmatt.com/filewaster.html

After Installation this screen should appear:

Next click on the button this has the symbol of 3 small dots (...). Find the File you want encrypting. For this tutorial I will be using a Picture.

Where the two grey boxes are you should enter a password. Something nobody will be able to guess.

Click the button last shows a red linked chain.

Now the file that you have just encrypted should have been put in the same place as where you got the picture from. Mine is called title screen.bmp.FEB

So there you have it... encrypted and almost impossible to crack. To reverse go though the same progress but with the new file and it will turn back into the original file. Only difference is to click the Green Broken chain to decrypt.

But doesn't the name file waster sound a bit odd and the file with an unfamiliar file name may also be deleted. To get around this use a basic piece of software to compress those files into a .rar or .zip file. Name this something discrete such as Tutorials or Sprites.

For the program you can rename it from the all programs tool bar. If you right click on the program in all programs tool bar and click properties you can change the icon that goes with it. Once again you may want to name it something normal such as Pivot 3.4 or Gamemaker 6.1.

Well that should keep your file safe from prying eyes. Happy Fapping... *cough*

POOOOOOOOOOORRRRRN

Anyways, TrueCrypt is better.

http://www.truecrypt.org/

It even protects you from the fbi, they cant even crack it.

Honestly this is a stupid program. Heres a easier tip:

winzip (zip those files), rename extention of .zip to something like .dat
.dat is a data file, cheats to say its a system file, but will be passed over. your porn .mpg could be changed to .dat, wmp can play .dat ;)

What's stopping the FBI from installing the same encryption program and uncracking it?

LOL

Well they wouldnt guess a very long password. And the 'brute force' cracking method tries every possible combination of letters numbers and symbols.

And that would take about ten years to guess it by that time the computer would explode.

The program works. But it's a bit... um... fiddly... you know like too user friendly...

WOMG TRUECRYPT PWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, really. I took a usb stick and copied the truecrypt program on it. Then i made an encrypted volume 103 MB big as the 'truecrypt.ini' file. Which is stupid, but it works. and you can EVEN have HIDDEN VOLUMES that are impossible to find that they even exist unless you know the password, and you wont find the password unless you know they exist, or the owner told u.

PERFECT SECURITY (minus one)

>_> dont change the fact that you could zip a file, change the extention to .ini or any other system file like extention. 2x encription. Computer generated encryption = failure, make yourown encryption - harder to break
