In this tutorial ill teach you how to make the following graphic in flash:

Right, to start we must type out our text use the font verdana and type all in capitals the font size dosent matter and nether does the colour.

Now we make every second word bold eg.
HELLO MY NAME IS EVOLUTION KTHXBAI

Now we break the image apart, we do this by right clicking and selecting break apart, you will need to do this twice

When highlighted the text should look like so

Now add a liner gradient: pick a colour and make the bottom a darker shade of it

Now select the ink bottle tool

Make it white and make its thickness 3.5

Now apply it to each letter

Now highlight it all (ctrl+A) and go to modify>shape>convert lines to fills

Now get the ink bottle tool out again and set it to #999999 and its thickness to 1

Now place it on all the white parts not the coloured parts

Now highlight it all (ctrl+A) and go to modify>shape>convert lines to fills

Now you can convert it to a movie clip and mess with its dimensions
