When you make an anim, you might have a bit of walking in it ( a guy walking...)

But when you do the walking part, it'll probably look like this:

If you look at his arms, you'll see that the guy is doing this:

( Look closely at the arms. FPS at 5.)

Here's how to make stickmen walk with the arms swinging properly.

First, you start with this:

Then you carry on. BUT!! when you get to the part when it normally loops, you do something different.
You draw the arms differently on the next few frames after the picture up there. \/ arrow point.

Add frames until you get to the loop part again, but this time, don't add more frames.

Then, when you're done, you might have something like this:

There! U R Done!

(O RLY? YA RLY! NO WAI! YA WAI! OKAI!)

and before I forget... BLAH! * head blows off... again*

Tip: Use 'onion skin' ( at the bottom left of the timeline. The button at the corner) to make the anim look smooth.

........no.........definetly not. it just looks like that. and of you put outlines on it like that, it looks more retarded and noticable i never seen anyone walk like that, and animation is a replica of life.

That's not what I mean. It's just to make it easier for people to notice what the arms of stickmen do in most anims.

Raffi I know exactly what you mean. Some prob dont admit it but its what happens with the wrong physiques. There is one part in there to not make it look like that. When its the hand swicthing effect thingy which looks like crap when occurs, you need to make the hands dissapear when it reaches the middle. You wont notice a thing and It will look better.

If you know what I mean. Sorry I am not a good mentor at all.

Haha i never even noticed that! Well actually i do, but only on fullbody walks. because you can actually see the arms swinging BOTH ways. On a normal stick figure you can make it loop without noticeing, But it DOES look better with this trick you told us :)
