View Full Version : How to make cinematic anims.
Now, first things first, Please have some animating experience. Med beginners is good enough. It will turn into shit if your not that good. No offence.
Ok, when your making a cenimatic anim, the number one stk you need is a CENIMATIC STK.
Heres what it is. The link is the stk.

http://rapidshare.com/files/807060/cinima.stk
Good. Now that you got that, you can enlarge the cenima scope and shrink the stk by- well, you know how to make stks bigger and smaller.
This makes a zoom effect. Just remember to do shrink and enlarge it often.
Speaking of zooming, when you shrink the cinema stk, it closes up, right? So do this and get another stk and enlarge it along with shrinking the cenima scope.
Your result should be something like this.

Ok, now that you got that down, lets move along to environment moving.
This is really easy to do when you know how. Just remember that the camera is ALWAYS MOVING. The solution to this problem is to kinda keep the ground moving up/down smoothly with the actions of the anim. If there is detail to the ground you might want to move it sideways with the action of the anim. Remember to move the person(s) moving along with the ground if their are person(s).
Your result should be this.

The cinema scope?
You just make it big and they will leave the screen.
Or is that not what your talking about?

nNice Tut. This will help many, and it wasnt just the black screen, you show'd effects with it. Nice job. But its called Wide Screen Effect. Thats where the main idea came from lol. Anyway forget that, but it was nice. good job helping the Community.

good tut. but, I fugured cinimatic sticks out by my self. it's easy to figure out. oh, and yeah, good point about the constantly moving enviroment. what I do, is to like have the screen move like one pixel over every frame.

First off, Animators of your rank shouldn't be making tutorials. I mean no offense saying that, its just that the tutorial section is getting very messy and out of hand.
Second off, there is no specific way of making cinematic animations.
