the run looked nice but the stick's legs have to stick out a bit farther arms were fidgety here's an example of running ,my style:Happy:

it feels like cheating to post in this thread, but if I don't i'll get chewed out by at least one person within a week (or a day). So I'm just going to post my second saved pivot.
It is supposed to be a magic fight (I Thought that would be a good test for Pivot)
I know about the # of frames issue, but please tell me anything else you can think of.

Basically this is just a test to see what i could do with fire.

i like the combo but make his spine bend a little more and bend his knees more wen he lands so it look like he came down fast

Too stiff and choppy in some places. And when something is being thrown over a shoulder, it should be one constant motion, not a bunch of jerky motions.

i would say medium beginner. Only because not enough camera movement try to add in some center origin camera movements and the only other thing was that the reactions were a tad bit off when they hit each other. Other than that pretty good just make it a little longer

Ranks = Useless in my opinion.

The blood splatters were out of place and the movements were really un-eased. Also, everything was stiff. Make the guy with the sword move more.

Add a few frames when your about to launch a hit.. I suggest you make your own bloody. Its easy. Its just lines and a few dots.

Not enough movements, but it's pretty stiff, and the second reaction is too over exaggerated. The blood should be a darker shade of red, too. And a quick question, why is the animation called "homosword?"

Hey everyone i am still in the noob department XD

First try to make an bloody fight involving the two characters at the intro, to show how the intro pic happened.
Second, add some more characters.
Last, Add some kickass effects like a damn good explosion and get some nice background to fit with the fight.

P.S If I were I'll improve first before I make a movie, but still the choice is yours.

Jhonny, your animation was pretty sick. As in good.

But, you need to work on movements and easing. I know it was fast pace but you need easing for a bit of motions.

Very choppy, also that was a backflip not a jump test.

Have the person move slightly back, because most people dont just jump up, do a backflip, and then land back in the same spot. Also, if your using physics, he wouldnt stay in the one spot while doing that flip, he would jump up going fast, ease slower, stop in the air for about a frame, then he would fall back down.

But, its better than what ive seen by others.

actuallly they do... in real life people when trying to do a backflip tutors always reminds them that they have not look back, when jumping, or arching the back, cause that would kill their momentum... believe me i do know, im in to gymnastics, for about 2 years now :/ .... if you dont believe me look at this tutor, and at the end how he does the bf, he actually almost spin in the same spot and the pleasantly lands (mine backflips are kinda the same)

yea well since i cant upload url, then just go to Youtube and in search type in: Jujimufu backflip tutorial . and click on the first i think (where a guy is standing outside) ... youll be pleasantly surprised of his flawless technique :P

Hey, I'm Snipa, I just found out about Pivot a few days ago from a friend, it's on the school computers so I thought i'll see how it is at home and my friend said he downloaded these custom made stick guys etc from a website called Druidz or something, so i did. I just made my first one now so dont blame me if its hell bad but I tried:

hmm.. well i recognise some of the sticks u have ;) ... try doing few moves at the same time, like while one guy taunting, other should attack, cause its all not at the same time, like for an example, guy nr1 hit guy nr2 , guy nr2 bleeds all over, and only then reacts and falls (quite unrealisticly too)... and also try putting more frames threwout the motion... also it would be better if they werent floating, add a floor... just a line.stk should do :P

Thx :D well I just need to get used to it i guess, it was my very first one i've ever done and the one my mate made at school in like 2mins was amazing (he had like a spikey guy stamp his foot with an earthquake then punch and the other guy reflected it and did like a magic blast thing and flew off, looked hell good....but anyway yeh i need to get used to pressing space more XD

kl i liked it it was good for a first better than my first too lul :heh: but ye so just look at a tut on easing to learn that try to avoid stiff ness to do that try to move every piont of the stick figure for every frame but there are times when a stck can be motion less like on the ground or just standing... i still have problems with that. that and a phyics tut and i sugest a reaction one too (if you can find one) well those are the things you should try out

P.S. almost forgot look at a walking tut and running tut kay? :D

I could make a list.... slow, choppy and just plain unreal. Try increasing number of frames and frame rate and making the characters movement more realistic. For example intstead of him just flying up show the builld up to the jump, and when he transforms try making a power flux or something cool, i know im a nub too but i figured you might need some help. :Smile:
And maybe try and get a mentor, don't ask me tho, im still finding thing myself

okay dont like spaz out lol all you do is upload it to image shack or phtot shop or some other place kay then before you go to stick page to find out how to post it copy the URL at the top in the web browser after go to the posting window and click the mountain icon or the "insert image" icon right click to temeraoly allow scripted waht ever its is (if it says that) then past the URL inbettween the and then post okay?! thats how to get videos on stickpage :D

I made a pivot, but I don't know how to get things from droidz. :Cry:
I heard that you need pivot 3 and I tried downloading it. When it was done, it says readmefile could not be found and then the icon never shows on the desktop.:Bricked:

sadly no i wish had that skill it was on droidz tho lol :D it was made by davo and vex im putting there names in my sig i could remember what davo's name was at first so i didnt ut it in there now i know so im putting it in ther lol... and happy thanksgiving!
