Um.....even though this is a beginner sticky board, your trying effects way out of your league.Your animation is very choppy and makes the whole thing look like crap. Try easing and stop using effects you can't do properly.
Not that I can either just get down the smooth movements before you try diff. effects. It would look better plain but smooth.

Hey windlord, that's pretty cool. But one thing. When he's running like someone already said. Slow down the movement of the mountains. Otherwise it's okay. Oh and the sun doesn't move and should be behind all the other sticks......you should run up and see the sun after he runs a little bit.

for a first pivot, that was quite good.
i'd rate it...8/10

what you should do next is make your own stick with a spine, (which means his back should be 2 lines instead of 1) and a full head.

then, read some tuts about punching, kicking, and then about physics.

once that's done, you can start practicing, developing your own style etc. and entering contests.

and last but not least: have fun while animating!

not bad but you should work on stiffness (moving every joint every frame) but ur choppyness isnt that bad jsut make them move a little less everyframe so if u made a punch atm in a total duration of 3 frames make it in 6-7 frames

Ok now for the most valuable info a noob can know....
how to make ur anim smooth 99% of the time

Every frame never move ur stick more then the onionskin so an example of this is when you move your stick it should ALWAYS touch the onionskin this will make ur animation ALOT smoother and when combined with 0% stiffness. Once u get better (inter up) u can figure out other tricks but for the begginers u should always do this.

pretty good for a newb.Blood is one of the hardest things to get down because atleast 1 person wouldn't like it,you need to make the blood darker and more little partices go places.

1. O.K blood for a beginner. I liked your backgrounds too, but they still need some work.

2. Make your own Stks. Make sure they have a backbone. The default sticks suck.

3. Look into the Tutorials section and find out how to help your special effects. (i.e the bomb.)

2. The energy ball has some detail, but needs more.

3. Stop using the default sticks! Horrible creations happen with them.

4. I liked your running though. Better than mine, seeing as I have heaps of trouble making it look realistic.
