[Flash] Drawing Guns

hey i havent posted for a bit so heres my newest tut

Ok whats up, some people asked me how i do it well heres a tut for ya.

What you need
:flash 6 or above
:patience
:a keen eye

lol

Ok lets get started, first get out the pic u will TRACE

Ok now start tracing with the line tool, make sure the line is visible, i used white as the glock is all black.

Ok great now you will have to hide the bit map image by pressing the eye in the timeline. Ok now change the line color to black by selecting the drawing and goin to the line color changer.

Great now start coloring ( shader tut after last pic ) use the original pic if you need some refrence.

*Note: you wont have the most satisfying drawing on ure first time, depending on your skill in detail patience and alot of other stuf. lol. Remember
dont get mad just keep on goin, This drawin ive done is like the 500th one ive done :D YOU CAN DO IT !!!

two things.
1. im gonna post my first gun that i made tracing and please comment. (its an airsoft for a movie im making with two kids airsofting.)
2. can i have that laser gun picture it would be good for a flourescent light like if you have a gun store in one of your movies.

Well, this isnt a "Show your gun here thread!"It is a tutorial.

But, yeah. I just use a color that no gun would be, like a very bright purple, or the default red. Pretty good. Helps some people.

Nice tut... It gives a basic idea to people and its quite simple. I also like how you included the "shading of the shotgun" part. I don't see that alot.

When I use the line tool to trace my gun I can't color it in, it won't fill..Is there a way to make it able to fill or do I have to color all of it in with the brush?

No your lines are NOT connected. Press the little magnet tool to turn it on, and then make sure you patch it all up so that it will fill in.

Little bit of a bump, there, eh? BTW, you seem pretty cool. Look forward to seeing you post more. Jin Son: You don't. You use the circle/ovoid tool on the side bar. Look for the drawing tool shaped like an O. Then use it.

after you have drawn your line press the black mouse on the top left and move it over the line there should be a little curve sign.

thats because you have to make two layers in flash, and the layer you trace on has to be on top of the layer with the bitmap gun, and lock the gun layer so you don't accidentally select it and draw and go waaa im confused
