Ok I just saw someone elses tut and it had very bad walking...
so I'm creating this to show you atleast what walking should look somewhat like
Step 1: Open Pivot Stickfigure Animator
Step 2: Load up a stick because you don't want to use the default do you now?
Step 3: Position the stick into a position to start the walking sequence
Like so... http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/8279/image1copy7pr.png
I'll say this now before you go to far. When the foot is on the ground IT DOESN'T MOVE. I've seen this too many times before the stick will slide while he walks.
Step 4: Now you start to move him. Very Important: It's just my style you don't have to do it
but for the best effect keep the arms and legs in time so when the original back leg hits the ground
the original front or back arm should be at the opposite side ready to come back. Also notice the movement of the stick/line and how the back bends.
He should be like this nowhttp://img227.imageshack.us/img227/5130/image2copy3le.png
Step 5: Now the legs start crossing over and the arms should be engulfed by the body like so...
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/5780/image3copy9vt.png
Once again noticing the movement of the stick in his hand.
Step 6: Now the back leg should be in front of the other leg and the arms should have swapped places.
http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/2402/image4copy2jp.png
Still watching as the stick moves
Warning: DO NOT try and make the same arm go back this makes it looks like they are bouncing off
each other and plus in this animation the stick would move properly
Step 7: The arms should come off the body now. After this frame is when the stick slows down as you will see. The leg should also come off the other one now and should start too extend to be a little straighter.
http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/9571/image5copy6xa.png
Step 8: Now the arms, the stick in his hand, his body and his legs should slow down. The leg should straighten out a bit more.
http://img313.imageshack.us/img313/4174/image6copy7rk.png
Step 9: Now the leg finally touches the ground (YAY!) and the stick and arms should be stopped. Like so...
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/3189/image7copy1vy.png
Step 10: Now almost immediately after the foot is down he should lift the other foot to continue his walking.
http://img302.imageshack.us/img302/8216/image8copy8cg.png
Note: The arms and the stick start coming back to their original position now
Step 11: The back leg should be bending to a 45-60 degree angle from the leg now. They should also be starting to cross again and the arms come intact with the body again.
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/9086/image9copy0bk.png
Step 12: The arms should have crossed the body now and the knee on the back leg should have passed the front leg.
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/6513/image10copy5pp.png
Note: The stick in his hand should have started speeding up again.
Step 13: The legs and arms should be detached now and it should appear like the pole is going through his legs.
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/2081/image11copy2qn.png
Step 14: Ok you should nearly be back to the start. Your foot should be nearing the ground and his arms and the pole should be slowing down now
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/2378/image12copy9zg.png
Step 15: Now your sticks foot should touch the ground and then you can start all over again and take the next few steps.

Here's an example of what it should look like

Congratulations you should now know how to perform a walk in pivot.
If this tutorial has helped you then it was worth the time it took to make this
Thanks to Chaos for the idea
UPDATE: Lol no rep system now so I just had to modify the post abit
